翻车，是一种刮板式连续提水机械，又名龙骨水车，是中国古代链传动的最早应用。东汉（公元166年-189年）毕岚发明了翻车，三国时期（公元220年～280年）马钧予以完善、推广。它由手柄、曲轴、齿轮链板、水槽等部件组成。制作简便，提水灌溉农田效率高。翻车可用手摇、脚踏，也可利用畜力、水力或风力驱动。

In Houhanshu (History of Eastern Han Dynasty), it is recorded that Bi Lan invented the hand tipper. In Three Kingdoms Period (220-280), Ma Jun improved the tool. A tipper can be driven by hands, feet, animals, water and wind. Tipper is also the first application of chain transmission in China.
